August 15, 2011 An update from Wayne regarding the St Ambrose Green Hope Gardens. For the 2011 growing season, as of 15-AUG-2011, we have harvested and taken to BAM: 89 zucchini, 66 cucumbers, 97 slicing tomatoes, 325 Roma tomatoes, 58 green peppers, and 58 lbs of green beans. The zucchini and cucumbers are finished for the year. The rest continue to produce and we have a row of beets which will be harvested soon. We are in the process of cleaning out two of the beds in preparation for planting late summer crops. We want to thank all those who have helped with the gardens.
